Life guards and kiddie safety schemes run during the high season at most of the beaches. Feel the best of the breeze with the Open Top bus that runs between Stone Bay, Broadstairs, around the shoreline to Eastcliff Boating Pool stopping to explore Ramsgate Royal Harbour with its Sailors' Church on the quayside. Year round Either side of the summer months, enjoy wandering the cliff tops to experience the best of this part of coastal Kent. Broadstairs boasts one of the smallest cinemas in south east Kent The Palace featuring the latest releases alongside the step-back-in-time Silent Sundays - complete with live organ music. Use the Viking Coastal Trail to wind between quaint villages, historic castles, medieval cathedrals and ornamental gardens. The trail is good for walkers and cyclists alike - with many sections wheel chair friendly. Golfers are spoiled for choice with several first class greens open to the public from North Foreland around to Sandwich. Whatever the time of year, Broadstairs is a great place to visit. |
